Style Icon Meets Italian Tradition
If you follow menswear, you are likely to know of Mr Nick Wooster. If you don’t, look him up, he’s an inspiration and a modern style icon. He has teamed up with traditional Italian brand, Lardini to create a capsule collection that is right along the lines of what I like.
You’ll find light and breezy seersucker fabrics central to the collection’s appeal for the summer season. The combination of classic tailoring with a touch of vintage inspiration alongside the extra special Wooster influence to take something and make it unique make each piece a standout.
“Nick valorizes our elegance unlike anyone else, in an extravagant manner as only he can,” says Mr Luigi Lardini on the brand’s collaboration with Mr Nick Wooster. Traditional construction methods are used in the Italian-made clothing, keeping a fresh feel to the sporty shapes and contemporary fabrics.
One of my favourite pieces in the collection, the Breton-style navy and white stripe knitted cardigan is primed for comfort, free of lining and with a loose fit. As I have said many times, I’m a sucker for stripes. My love of stripes continues with the striped seersucker jacket, so fresh and appealing and in the jacket it is more subtle a stripe but so wonderful. This really is a great capsule collection and one I can’t wait to see being worn by men around the world.
