Elvis, A Source of Inspiration

Growing up hearing Elvis Presley felt so normal, not only felt normal, it was normal, it happened every day. It was rare to go to a friend’s home that didn’t listen to this amazing man, and so many of those homes had a collection of Elvis vinyl. Weekends were often spent watching one of the many films he featured in. Right now, I’m listening to one of my many playlists of his songs. What talent! His often over the top ‘costumes’ as I called them back then, a source of inspiration for expression. However, it was his hair I was liked in his style. Even as a young girl I remember being fascinated by his perfectly styled hair. He continues to be an inspiration now, maybe even more so as time goes by. A style icon, that’s for sure.
